A teacher for more than 20 years, then an animal-assisted therapy practitioner and mental health counsellor, I am currently a psychotherapist in training (qualifying), holding a bachelor's degree in psychology and a graduate diploma in psychotherapy. I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Corporation of Animal-Assisted Therapists of Quebec. This rich and varied path has allowed me to support people of all ages, from different backgrounds, and with a wide range of needs.<\/p>\n\n

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating different periods of life or facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, illness, grief, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, or periods of transition. Neurodivergent individuals are welcome.<\/p>\n\n

I am particularly dedicated to supporting women, especially around the perinatal period, menopause, changes associated with different life stages, and the impact of violence. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents, as well as supporting parents through the challenges they face in their daily lives.<\/p>\n\n

The richness of my journey has taught me that there is no single way to support a person. I therefore favour a deeply human, flexible, and personalized approach that takes into account their story, their strengths, their needs, and, above all, what matters to them. Over the years, I have developed a strong ability to adapt to others, a creative approach, and genuine pleasure in collaborating with families and other professionals to offer care that truly fits each person.<\/p>\n\n

As a mother of three children who has experienced expatriation, I also understand some of the challenges related to adapting to a new environment, balancing family life with professional responsibilities, and cultural transitions. These experiences have strengthened my conviction that feeling understood, supported, and welcomed without judgment is an essential foundation for moving forward.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

My therapeutic approach.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My therapeutic approach is integrative, humanistic, and personalized. I combine the warmth and welcoming stance of the humanistic approach with concrete tools drawn from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Depending on your needs, I may also draw on narrative, attachment-focused, and play-based approaches, as well as various expressive and creative methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am also trained in art therapy and animal-assisted therapy, which allows me to offer different ways of exploring emotions and lived experiences. For some people, talking is the most natural way to understand themselves and make sense of what they are going through. For others, creativity, movement, play, or the presence of an animal can open another path toward expression and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no single \"right\" way to do therapy. I adapt my approach to your personality, your needs, and your pace, rather than asking you to conform to a predefined method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My goal is to offer you a safe, compassionate, and respectful space where you can feel heard and valued, better understand what you are going through, discover or rediscover your strengths, and develop concrete strategies to move forward at your own pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. When animals are part of therapy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animals can offer a unique form of connection. Their presence can sometimes help to slow down, to ground oneself in the present moment, to express emotions, to build self-confidence, or to explore relationships and boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I integrate animals into the therapeutic process when their presence can meaningfully contribute to the therapy's goals and when the person feels comfortable with this approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The well-being of my partner animals is just as important as that of my clients. They are never forced to participate, be touched, or interact. Similarly, you are always free to approach an animal, interact with it, or simply observe it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
